Lloyd was able to fly with a couple of MAF mechanics to a village near the border where the military had an accident with a Kodiak airplane. The insurance company now wants to sell the damaged plane. The biggest problem is getting the plane back to Shell, as well as the necessary funds. Our damaged MAF Kodiak is in the hangar, where some parts could be used to help in the repair of the military Kodiak. There are also advantages in having this plane in that it is already licensed in Ecuador and the import tax would not have to be paid. The Kodiak was and would again be a great help in the jungle work among the villages.
