Sadly, three of our staff midwives left Abundant Grace of God Maternity Clinic last month. They were hired for highly sought-after government midwife positions. It has been hard to say good-bye and to know our clinic will not benefit from the years of training that we put in, but God has been reminding me that this may not have been my plan, it was His. I can honestly say that I feel more at peace about the situation as I know these midwives are going to make a big impact in the Province of Kalinga, teaching compassionate, evidence-based care to other Health Care Providers in the province.
We now have the opportunity to train more midwives. We started training 5 new Filipino midwives and 3 new foreign midwives this February. This is a big task and prayers would be appreciated for the wisdom needed to hire and train full-time midwives and for financial provision for our general clinic and staff fund.
